Bastille Day at The Simeone Museum.
Saturday was a national holiday for France and The Simeone Museum did their best to celebrate in fine fashion with 5 rare french gems to demo. The first was a 1907 Renault Racer, winner of the 1907 American 24 Hour Race. Second was the famous 1936 Bugatti 57g tank, winner of the 1937 Le mans. The third, with its swooping body lines and vibrant blue was a 1938 Peugot Darl'mat which competed in the 1938 Le mans. The fourth a heavy Le mans competitor competing in 1937, 1949, 1950, and 1951, was the 1936 Delahaye. Last but not least was a Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport Coupe. Dr Simeone put on a fine presentation and demo that was very informative of each automobile. I would highly suggest taking the time to visit this museum on a normal day or attend one of their demo days you will not be disappointed.
